ORLocate™ Technology Overview
The ORLocate™ System uses RFID technology to offer accurate, efficient and real-time tracking and monitoring capabilities of the tagged surgical items. The system provides various functionalities, including integration with hospital information systems (HIS, EMR, ERP utilizing the HL7 message format), SPD equipment (decontamination, sterilization etc.) and Real-Time Locating Systems (RTLS).
The ORLocate™ RFID tags are capable of withstanding sterilization, liquid and metal environments, as expected during the surgical instruments’ lifespan. The RFID tags are firmly secured to surgical instruments and sterile consumables. Tag location is determined in conjunction with surgeon recommendations.
